choral evensong @ st mary's

back in september i accidentally wandered in here with the universal kincaid's freshership before i knew anything about edinburgh and we put some random prayers on a prayer tree. a few months ago walking around the west end the sun was setting and the cross at the vrey top was literally glowing and i watched a woman stop in her doorway as she was about to leave just staring up at it & i was too. absolutely crazy building i am killed every time i see it

  9/10 you cant really get much better than an anglican cathedral imo but also i loved the images that were about yass #icons

  9/10 felt my soul actually being lifted to heaven with the chorus every time they said world without eeend

  7/10 lovely anglican must... it smelled like a country church but was not

  5/10 very small attendance sadly i could tell some people knew each other but not many... LOVED it when a guy in camo walked out as soon as the female choir leader started speaking. 1 corinthians 14 ☝️

  6.5/10 i love it in episcopal/catholic services where you have to keep standing up and sitting down and bowing your head it's like musical chairs

  8/10 standard anglican but with a nice catholic sense to it. i think catholics have really nailed it and may actually be the true church

• nice older ladies

  i cant give any higher thann a 9 to anything because nothing perfect can be created by human hands
