new town church, 1st of Advent
near & dear to my heart since september but never attended a service here. i was i think the only person in the church below the age of 50, but felt pretty welcomed. that being said i think it was a bit impenetrable -- people kind of stayed in their groups. as it was the 1st of advent the theme was hope -- beautifully delivered sermon. hymns chosen very well. choir is REALLY good, church itself very very beautiful (quite unique for edi i think since it was built in georgian period) with great acoustics. church of scotland but this was the most anglican service ever
